• The Canadian government has proposed a tax exemption for EOT’s up to the point of eliminating taxes on the first $10 million in capital gains after an owner sells to an EOT

• The Employee Ownership Association recently published their Employee Ownership Top 50 of the top employee owned firms!

• The County of Los Angeles’ Department of Economic Opportunity announced the launch of a program designed to provide free support and education to firms looking to transition to employee ownership

• Forbes contributor Matthew Erskine ponders whether purpose trusts are the key to building responsible companies
