I had a fun conversation last week enjoyed with an old friend and a new one:

• Peter Boumgarden is a Professor of Practice for Family Enterprise at Washington University in St. Louis’s Olin Business School

• Ari Weinzweig is a restaurateur and writer, among other things, who recently placed the ownership of his companies’ brand into a perpetual purpose trust.

Ari shared his and Zingerman’s story; I talked about a paper Peter and I are working on with Simon Pek on the alternatives available to family business owners thinking about future ownership of their business.
